The course is not about "putting up a site." It's all
about building a real business.
Here are three case studies from the first graduating
class of September, 2006:
Case 1
This student is a math tutor by day. He admits that his computer skills were
very limited. But friends of his had a business and an idea to sell trailer
parts. After 10 months his site generates 50 - 100 visitors a day and he is
growing
www.discount-trailer-parts.com into a budding online business that is
already tasting success.
"I have already sold some hard goods and looking to
do some joint ventures with the Far East who have contacted me after finding
me in the search engines."
Case 2
This mother of two had no idea what to build a site about. She did not know
anything about golf and had only played miniature golf. After brainstorming
different concepts
www.junior-golf-guide.com was the site she decided to build her online
business on.
Today she has over 50 visitors a day and continues to grow. Here are some of
her accomplishments only 10 months from the end of the class.
"I had a Joint Venture proposition to sell a golf eBook and keep 60%
commission. A retailer of junior golf website made contact with me to see
how we can work together. I'm awaiting a written proposition and will see if
it's interesting or not. The state of Georgia contacted me also to list
their website on mine to promote junior golf in Georgia."
Case 3
10 months ago this student had no idea what to build a site on. After seeing
a television show on dreams it sparked something in him. His site
www.dream-your-life.com is the result. He has begun to monetize his
site.
"I am ecstatic as I see the Alexa Traffic Ranking for my site rise from
6,159,641 on Feb 25, 07 to 834,717 as of April 1, 07. Today it is at
324,096."

Can such a course make a difference for High
School students? I'm certain it can. Several Christmases ago I sent my grandson,
then in high school, a business website software subscription and told him I would help him.
My purpose was to motivate him towards better grades and his
own future. Today he is in the business school at Colorado University and plans
to graduate by the end of this year. He was on the Dean's List last semester.
Here is what he wrote to me recently:
Grandpa,
. . . Hopefully something will come of all
of the eBusiness knowledge that you have aided me with. I am still working
on a website . . . it has been the most valuable learning experience I have
ever had and the pivotal point in my transfer into the business field.
It is good to hear from you grandpa, I hope to see you soon.
Love,
Dustin
